| My Idea Programme Supported by L-RAMP,IIT-Madras |

VITTBI organised My Idea Programme in association with Institution of Engineers
(India), VIT chapter on 29th December 06 with the support of L-RAMP, IIT Madras.
The programme has been institutionalized by L-RAMP to promote a sustainable
culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among student community.
The programme is organized in two phases. During phase I, intra collegiate idea
contests are organized and selected students are recognized with certificates
and cash prizes. During phase II, students selected in phase I are provided with
an opportunity to participate in an intra-collegiate idea contest and capacity
building workshops on innovation and technology commercialization.
Phase I – idea contest was organized for the students of VIT University, a total
of 25 teams participated in the event. The teams presented their ideas in the
areas like Energy, Water, Health, IT and other areas. Five teams were selected
based on the judges’ evaluation. These five teams are eligible to participate in
the Phase II programme, an intercollegiate State–Level Idea contest.
